Top to bottom: 1.280 x 768, 1.440 x 900, 1.680 x 1.050

Desktop Interpolation in the Samsung 226BW is very good, with even lower resolutions displayed sharply. 4:3 resolutions such as 1.024 x 768 also look astonishingly sharp.

The interpolation quality is similarly good when it comes to gaming. Detail and sharpness loss is minimal; only the shortcomings of the Catalyst driver can affect gaming enjoyment, and then only a little. The Samsung 226BW does not allow 1:1 version of small resolution images for multiple player gaming, but automatically interpolates these to full screen, with the exception of 16:10 with a resolution of 1.440 x 900, which is displayed as 1:1.
