The interpolation itself is very good and the ViewSonic VX2255wmb also displays text astonishingly well, with minimal loss of sharpness. This means that gamers benefit from the sharp interpolation of the 22-inch monitor as well as its fast response time.

DVD and Video

Since the playback of films and videos via PC also depends on the player software, we tested playback using different programs: we used the best-known software players CyberLink PowerDVD, InterVideo WinDVD and Microsoft Media Player.

We tested the playback quality of the ViewSonic VX2255wmb using numerous films and videos. Since it is a widescreen monitor, the black bands above and below look significantly narrower than on LCDs with aspect ratios of 4:3- or 5:4.

Fast-paced action scenes, fast cuts and camera movements are displayed without recognisable streaks by the monitor. Here, the very good responsiveness of the 22-inch monitor proves an advantage.
