REVIEW: Acer G24 Part 10

Through the reduction in brightness, the black value is considerably better, although the G24 is certainly not going to break any records with 0.22 cd/m² and a contrast of 613:1. Especially in a dark environment, the average black value is visible. However, in exchange, the image is very even after calibration.

Display of the RGB correction curve of the graphics card after sRGB calibration. The closer the three coloured lines lie to the 45° axis, the fewer colours are discarded to calibrate the graphics card correctly and the more intact the colour gradients are.

We used the following settings for calibration: brightness 18, contrast 50, Red 85, Green 88, Blue 100.

Comparison of calibration to AdobeRGB with AdobeRGB standard

The AdobeRGB standard is displayed very well by the Acer G24 as expected. For blue and red, the colour space seems to be limited, which leads to higher deviations. However, this will hardly interest the target user group of gaming specialists.

We made the following changes for the calibration: Brightness 15, Contrast 46, Red 91, Green 91, Blue 100.

The G24 struggles with the ECI2.0 standard. The result is acceptable but is linked with considerable intervention in the colour output of the graphics card. With an average value of less than 3 deltaE, only professionals will notice the deviations.

For the calibration, we made the following changes: Brightness 14, Contrast 47, Red 100, Green 92, Blue 70.
