REVIEW: Eizo SX2761W-BK Part 2The well-packed model comes with a CD which contains a multi-lingual manual in Pdf format, ICC colour profiles, an image adjustment program and the ScreenManager Pro application software. However, this latter software only functions on Windows (2000/XP/Vista) and can no longer be run on Macintosh. A further CD contains the UniColor Pro software together with a user guide, though this is only available in English. This software is used for the correct display of colours in the case of colour blindness in users. A multi-lingual brief installation guide in hard copy is also included as well as a brochure of the terms of the guarantee. A DVI-A cable, a DVI-D cable, a power cable, 4 spare screws and a USB cable include the scope of supply. No monitor drivers are provided. Eizo has also supplied the PhotoStudio 9 software from Zoner as an extra; this is used for managing and processing photos. The scope of supply can be described as extensive and complete.
Advertisement Our test Eizo SX2761W-BK attracts with a pleasantly discreet design. Lovers of elegant piano lacquer or aluminium element designs will be at a loss here. This Eizo model is clearly a work model which knows how to please with a narrow frame and decent controls.
Simple, discreet and functional – this is how the design of the 27-inch model can be described. The SlimEdge (narrow frame) design offers a frame width of 2,5 cm.
The Eizo logo is located in the lower left corner and the model number is to be found in the top right corner in the form of a transparent sticker with text. The material and manufacturing quality give the impression of good quality, with no creaking and narrow spaces between parts which indicate careful manufacture. The stability of the lower frame where the buttons are located is first class. Often, the frame is not perfectly placed on the panel at this point. The pillar base offers height adjustment of 11,8 cm, can be tilted 40 degrees backwards and turned 35 degrees right and left. The distance between the lower edge of the frame and the table surface is 7,9 cm when the screen is in the lowest position and 19,7 cm when it is in the highest position. The model also has a pivot function.
