REVIEW: Fujitsu P27T-6 IPS Part 21
With a complete white housing, the Fujitsu P27T-6 stands out from the crowd without following an exaggerated design line. The treatment of the housing is done good and ergonomically, the P27T-6 doesn’t leave any wishes unfullfilled, either. Combining four digital interfaces and an USB hub, the monitor provides various connectors.
The Fujitsu P27T-6 presents itself innovative regarding three things: The eco button, the light sensor and the approved intelligent power switch that separates the monitor from the power supply system automatically when it turns so sleep mode.
The image quality of the Fujitsu P27T-6 is on a high level. Being factory-made, hte very neutral grey axis is particularly convincing. Its wide gamut, covering sRGB completely and AdobeRGB almost fully, combined with more high-grade electronics that led to good calibration results, make the display predestined for digital image processing. Due to the fast image build-up and the low input lag, gamers are also attended to.
Regarding external playback, the P27T-6 surprise with 24 Hertz support, which isn’t even mentioned in the data sheet. Bearing a pair of HDMI inputs, the Fujitsu P27T-6 offers more flexibility in terms of connecting peripheral devices.
The Fujitsu P27T-6 almost convinces us all along the line. For us, the greatest flaw ist the brightness distribution, which particularly in the lower left of the display area showed high deviations and a visible change of the white point. That’s what the monitor costs a „very good“ rating. Another problem could be the quite significant anti-glare coating of the Fujitsu P27T-6. Of course it has the advantage that dark hues are lesser brightened seen from the angle, but in exchange the „crystal effect“ is intensified. It may be called criticism on a high level, but the tilt function works a bit too smooth, and the housing has a feel of cheapness, some spots appear to be thin.
In the end, the Fujitsu P27T-6 misses the top mark very close. However, with a street price of less than 700 Euros, the P27T-6 IPS represents a real alternative at an excellent price-quality ratio.
Overall rating: GOOD
