ECI-RGB 2.0: 88,5 % coverage

NEC promises almost complete coverage of AdobeRGB (98%), which we also achieved in the conditions during profiling (White point D65). Accordingly, sRGB and the ISO Coated colour space are completely covered. In colour management enabled applications, precise display including offset proofing should be possible. The same applies for internal monitor transformations within the scope of colour space emulation.

The levels of coverage correspond to the typical values for modern IPS panels with WCG-CCFL backlighting (102% NTSC). Therefore, the coverage level for ECI-RGB 2.0 is considerably lower. This gives rise to increased colour gaps and deviations, regardless of the image content. Nonetheless, it is still possible to work in this standard colour space.

Evaluation of colorimetric tests

We have evaluated the results of the colorimetric test in detail in the following section. Here, selected image modes were measured as well as the factory settings.
