REVIEW: AOC LM720A
++ very good, + good, +/- satisfactory, - bad, -- very bad
All results issued in this review have been established by using a Gainward 750 Geforce4 Titanium graphics card.
The AOC LM720 got delivered with a CD incl. drivers and a manual, a quick manual for setting it up, speaker cable, power cable and power supply unit.
The D-Sub monitor cable is fixedly connected to the monitor. The length of the cable seems sufficient at 1.50 m.
First, the gadget has to be mounted by pressing the monitor into the foot. This is handled similarly to the AOC LM919 in whose review we have already published a picture.
The monitor makes a stable impression. The frame looks rather big with its 3.5 cm (at the top and at the sides) and 4.5 cm. The design is held functional and simple. The whole gizmo consists of silver and black plastic elements.
The pedestal is also harboring the speakers and offers volume control and a connector for head phones. The speakers utilized by this monitor can be used for Windows sounds, but that's about it what you could expect. They are simply too weak for things like music listening pleasure.
The display allows slanting, but it neither features height adjustment nor can't it be swiveled. The distance between lower part of the panel and the desk is 8.5 cm. If you add the 4.5 cm thick bottom frame the actual picture starts at a height of 13 cm.
Even when viewed from the side the AOC LM720 looks neat and makes a gracile, convincing impression.
