REVIEW: Hyundai L90D
++ very good, + good, +/- satisfactory, - bad, -- very bad
All results issued in this review have been established by using the digital input, with the exception of the test runs for analog image quality, which have been established on the analog input. Our test bed ran with a Gainward 750 Geforce4 Titanium graphics card.
The HYUNDAI L90D comes with a Quick Start guide, a power cable, a D-Sub VGA cable, a DVI-D cable, an audio cable and a CD with manual, color profiles and drivers.
The new HYUNDAI L90D fits into a carton whose size is actually very thin, from which one can assume that the monitor base is supposed to be mounted first. But in fact, this is not the case, because the monitor simply gets folded to the back and thereby becomes very thin. From a design stand point the L90D looks very nice and its frontal view as well as its side face can convince us, too. The case and the pedestal are made from silver and dark grey plastic. The fabrication quality is excellent.
The buttons for operating the OSD are in a centered position in the lower part. The chrome colored buttons appear very noble and are easy to handle. The foot solely provides the function of slanting the display. Features like height adjustment, swiveling and pivot function have been left out by Hyundai. The distance between the lower edge of the panel and the desk measures 11.8 cm. The frame is 2.3 cm in thickness at the sides and at the top. The bottom part of the frame is 7.5 cm in the center. Speakers have been embedded into each side of the lower part of the monitor. Next to an analog D-Sub input, the gadget also provides a digital DVI input.
