REVIEW: Neovo S-19
++ very good, + good, +/- satisfactory, - bad, -- very bad
The monitor, which is fabricated in China, makes a first class impression in respect of design and at first glance bears a bit resembles to a TV set. The incorporated Fujitsu panel is protected by an antireflective glass.
All results issued in this review have been established by using the digital input, with the exception of the test runs for analog image quality, which have been established on the analog input. Our test bed ran with a Gainward 750 Geforce4 Titanium graphics card.
Alongside to the display we received a driver disk, a manual, an analog monitor cable, a digital monitor cable and a S-Video cable.
The accompanying driver disk does not contain any Windows XP drivers. Only Windows 2000 drivers are present. But these can be installed without any problems under Windows XP as well. There is a newer driver on the manufacturers homepage that also support Windows XP, but oddly, the S-19 is not among the various monitors there. Unfortunately, the accompanying manual is available in English only. We in particular want to emphasize that two monitor cables are included.
Setting up the monitor is a matter of a few minutes only. We positively look upon the fact that the connectors on the rear side were accessible very easily. The gadget can be slanted to the front and to the back. The foot of the monitor permits neither swiveling nor pivoting nor does it offer height adjustment. The control elements of the OSD are placed in the middle and can be easily operated with the thumb.
