How can I set up two different background images on two monitors?

If you are using a second monitor, you will be familiar with this problem: Windows XP and Windows VISTA do not have any feature that allows the user to display two different background images on the dual monitors. Here, tools such as the well-known UltraMon or MaxiVista are helpful. They make features such as a background image on each monitor or a practically extended taskbar possible. If you opt for one of these two programs, you will have to expect investment costs of 30 to 40 US dollars.

If you would like to save yourself the cost and still enjoy the pleasure of two background images, you will have to select a background image which matches the entire resolution. A free tool for extending the taskbar is offered by Multimon.
