Abbreviation for "Display Data Channel" (Monitor-Plug 'n' Play). If monitor and graphics card are DDC capable, they both exchange their information via the operating system and optimally adjust to one another. At the present, there are three variants of DDC: DDC1, DDC2 and DDC2AB.
DDC1 standard: The monitor sends its identification data to the graphics card which controls and adjusts the data.
DDC2 standard: monitor and graphics card mutually exchange their information and automatically adjust to one another.
