Abbreviation for "Enhanced Graphics Adapter". Graphics standard from the mid-80s, predecessor to VGA. The resolution of EGA cards (TTL mode) is 640 x 350 pixels. Picked from a palette of 64 colors, a maximum of only 16 colors can be displayed simultaneously.
