The further development Super-IPS (S-IPS) has improved the contrast of IPS panels. Colours are also clearer and the fast response time should be very pleasing for computer game fans. Viewing angles have also been improved enormously through S-IPS and can reach 178 degrees.


These improvements have been achieved in that the pixels are no longer arranged exactly parallel to each other but instead lie at an angle and point in opposite directions to each other. Monitors with S-IPS panels are often used by professionals, since this technology is generally used in especially high-quality LCD monitors and is accordingly expensive.
