Nit

Nit (unit symbol: nt) is a measure for luminance and mainly used in the USA. The term is derived from the Latin verb nitere (to shine). One Nit is the equivalent of one Candela per square meter. It is often used for categorizing a computer screen's brightness. Typical values are 200 to 300 Nits.
