GLOSSARY

The color depth specifies the number of colors that can be used for displaying. It is either expressed as Bit or as the number of possible color nuances. Each color is saved as a combination of the three ground colors (i.e. red, green and blue for monitors). For instance, with 24 Bit, which equals 8 Bit per ground color, it is possible to display 16.7 million colors.
