The panel type, a matte-coated TN variant, has 250 cd/m2 of brightness and a response time of 5 milliseconds. As usual, the static contrast of 1,000:1 is surpassed thousand-fold by the dynamic value of 20,000,000:1. The viewing angles of 176 and 170 degrees (h/v) are slightly larger than usual. The Philips 201BL2CS provides two signal inputs, D-Sub (analogue) and DVI-D (digital), the special features include speakers, headphone jack and USB port.

In terms of power consumption, the 201BL2CS with 17 watts in normal operation is on the same level as the larger B-line model 221B3LPCS. Further saving potential is only offered through Eco mode, which is known to reduce the consumption of the 22-inch series colleague by a third. Also part of the electronic equipment is the smart image feature that recognizes the particular application and automatically adjusts the display settings. The 201BL2CS monitor is offered online for about 150 Euros and has a three years warranty period.
