Sanyo PLC-XL50 projector with shortest projection distance

The PLC-XL50 projector presented at this year’s CeBIT by Sanyo with the smallest projection distance in the world is now available at specialised retailers in Germany. Thanks to new ventilation and projection technology, the model can be set up horizontally and vertically.

The PLC-XL50 uses hybrid technology with a Wide-angle Projection System, whereby an aspherical mirror enlarges the projection from the lens to extreme proportions. Vertical trapeze correction prevents distortion of ± five degrees.

Just 8 cm distance between projector and screen

This means that it is possible to use the projector from a distance of just 8 cm from the projection surface for an image surface of two metres. The PLC-XL50 is therefore especially suitable for presentations in smaller rooms.

In addition, the presenter can stand directly in front of the projection screen without breaking the beam from the projector. Vertical projection onto the ceiling or floor is also possible and the PLC-XL50 even projects well onto a coloured backdrop: green or black boards can be neutralised for use.

The new Sanyo projector has an XGA resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels and an ANSI Lumen rating of 2000. It offers two VGA, one S-Video and one Component input as well as an integrated two-watt speaker.

Anti-theft protection activted alarm when the model is shaken

An anti-theft device activates an alarm when the projector is shaken. The Direct Power on/off function switches the projector on as soon as it is connected to the mains. The device is also switched off as soon as it is unplugged without any damage to the projector itself or to the bulb.

Sanyo guarantees the projector for three years and the lamp for one year and offers a free exchange serivce which includes a replacement model within 24 hours for the duration of the repairs. The PLC-XL50 is available from December for €2,450 plus VAT.
