As announced on the
Prad forum,
LG is evidently planning a 24-inch monitor with a dynamic contrast of
10,000:1 which contains a
TN panel like the current 22-inch L227WT.
However, at
5ms, the response time is not quite at the same level as that of the model’s smaller brother (2ms). In addition to the well-known functions of the "f-Engine", such as dynamic contrast adjustment and zoom function for displaying smaller resolution, the
LG W2452V allows the suer to select photo effects at the toych of a button:
The "Fun button " allows the user to choose from effects that include "Sepia", "cold" and "Bell-shaped blur". The features of the widescreen monitor include a
HDMI input and an analogue D-Sub connection. The base is rotatable and tiltable, but does not offer height adjustment.
For office use, the LG W2452V has two
speakers of three watts each. Like the smaller L227WT, the monitor has a high-gloss black exterior and the screen surface is non-reflective.
On the underside, the exterior of the W2452V displays a moving silver bar. The launch date and price for the new 24-inch model are not yet known. The LG W2452V is to be presented once more at the CeBIT trade fair in March.
