After the successful product launch of the M series and the introduction of the automatically functioning IQ sensor for DICOM calibration, Korean manfacturer WIDE is bringing the new Power series for medical image processing to the market. The IQ sensor ensures that the monitor meets the requirements of the Grey gradient Standard Display Function (GSDF) from DICOM parts 14. All monitors in the Power series fit into the performance categories A and B and are compliant with the QS guideline (DIN V 6868-57) and are therefore suitable for almost all DICOM applications, sich as CRT, MRT or X-rays in dentistry or mammography.

Fast rendering of the images, uniformity which has not been possible until now and additional grey levels are outstanding new features offered. There are also additional functions for the calibration and control options for image quality via the network – coupled with a user-friendly design. "With the new InterFace Power series from WIDE, high-performance, functional models with maximum visual precision are being made available to modern appraisal.
At the heart of the well-priced high-performance monitors is the new MEDiXIII processor. It prepares the complete image editing on the monitor, beginning with the incoming signal of the video source and ending with display on the flat-panel screen. Features such as 12-Bit processing, homogenous surface illumination (LUC), automatic image calibration, organisation of the image division, machine-oriented and automatic brightness control (SBC), IQ sensor II, digital environmental lighting monitoring (DAC) and energy management round off the appearance of the monitor and allow for more efficient work at any medical workplace.
The series includes 1, 2, 3 and 5 megapixel monitors in 19-inch, 19.6 inch, 20.8 inch and 21.3 inch formats. The beginner model is already available for 495.00 Euro (net wholesale price). The Value Added Distributor INCOM Storage has been selected for distribution in Europe. Further information and visual material on the products can be found at: www.incom.eu.
