Iiyama Japan recently released the new ProLite E1908WS-B in the Land of the Rising Sun. For the equivalent of 140.00 Euro, the buyer receives a rather average, but very frugal 19-inch monitor, which should mean that Iiyama’s ProLite E1908WS-B will be especially popular in offices.


The low power consumption of just 33 watts together with the relatively low price forms the strong point of this monitor with a resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels. The response time is an average 5 ms, whilst the contrast ratio is about 1,000:1. On the other hand, the brightness value is advertised as 300 cd/m². On the back of the monitor are a VGA connection and a HDCP-enabled DVI input.

No precise launch date for Europe has been announced, but the model is already being listed by several retailers.
