The CG222W rounds off the current product palette of Color Graphic LCDs from Eizo, coming in at the bottom position. However, the user will not have to make any compromises with the 22-inch model. It is a fully fledged monitor with an extensive range of features which we will look at in the course of the test.
A glimpse of the signal inputs emphasises the professional appeal of the Eizo CG222W. It is Spartan in this aspect and offers only two DVI-I inputs.
Like most other models in the CG range, the Eizo CG222W also has an extended colour space, which is a condition for work in the AdobeRGB colour space in particular. Analogue to the 30- and 24-inch versions, this model also contains an S-PVA panel .

In terms of electronics, Eizo has not held back with the CG222W. At the heart of the model is the programmable 12-bit LUT, which allows for hardware calibration with the "Color Navigator" software that is included. The internal computational accuracy is 16-bit. This should mean that even extensive changes to the screen parameters should not have any negative effects on the range of hues. The "Color Navigator" options are very numerous and peak in a flexible colour space emulation.
