Displaying content with high contrast and glowing colours despite direct sunshine is an important factor for advertisers when it comes to outdoor advertising. Especially behind shop windows, harsh sunlight has long been a problem, since the distribution of the reflected light causes colours and black values to lose saturation. The result: pale content which does not convince passers-by or customers.
With a surface reflection of just 0.5 to 1.5 percent, the new M4224F from LG differs considerably from conventional models, which have a value of up to four percent here. A special highlight of the model is its extremely high brightness, which amounts to 4,000 Lux 400 cd/m² with reflected light and 700 cd/m² (typical) without reflected light. Thus, the transreflective "High Performance Public Display Panel", which is suitable for use in daylight, ensures clear advertising messages especially behind shop windows, with saturated colours and black values ― 24 hours a day if necessary.
