With the P701, NEC will bring the new top model in its Public Display P series to the market in March 2010. The 70-inch LC display has a high-quality professional panel for long term usage. With the numerous features and expansion options for the P series, the screen fulfils all requirements for demanding digital signage as well as for applications in conference or observation rooms.

With its brightness of 600 cd/m2, a contrast ratio of 2,000:1 and a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, the monitor reproduces digital signage content in Full HD quality. Thus, the model is ideal for applications in retail signage areas, monitoring rooms or in public buildings, where the size of the display is important.

The P701 offers all the features of the P series. Thanks to the integrated environmental light sensor (Ambient Light Sensor), the screen’s brightness is automatically adjusted to changing lighting conditions. Thus, the monitor never uses more power than necessary. The model has the NEC Option Slot for expansion modules such as the Built-in PC or Media Player. Thus, external devices and cables are replaced, installation is made easier and the entire appearance is improved.

The integrated LAN port allows for network integration and therefore the remote control of the monitor using the free NEC Display Solutions control software provided. The P701 can also be calibrated via the Ethernet or RS232 connection using the NEC Display Wall Calibrator. In addition, it offers a DisplayPort connection as well as the conventional inputs. This modern connection functions with compact plugs for higher bandwidths as well as longer connector cables.

The NEC MultiSync P701 is available from March 2010 in black or silver priced at 13,299,00 Euro (incl. VAT.). NEC provides a three-year guarantee including the backlight.
