Monitor specialist EIZO is planning to add a new flagship to its Color Graphic series with the new 29.8 inch CG303W. The display, which is equipped with an IPS panel, is aimed at professional use by graphics workers with its viewing angle of 178 degrees, and according to the manufacturer, it covers 98 percent of the Adobe colour space. Coverage of 102 percent is promised for the NTSC colour space.
The display, with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, will also offer hardware calibration for brightness, white point and gamma. In addition, EIZO also adjusts the gamma settings of each individual display in the factory in order to guarantee ideal display.
Whilst the static contrast is praised as having a value of 850:1, the brightness is reported to be 260 cd/m˛. In addition, the 12 millisecond display has two DVI inputs, of which one is HDCP-enabled and also has10-bit feed-in. The option to use two PCs simultaneously on the CG303W is especially interesting. Because of the high resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, the model can display both signal playbacks at the same time. Here, the incoming signals are played back at the same time side by side on the display in UXGA resolution (1,200 x 1,600 pixels).

In addition, the display will be height adjustable and offer a pivot function, which means that it can also be used in landscape format. Two integrated USB ports are of course also included and round off the imager of a professional graphics monitor.
EIZO Japan will be offering the new top model in its Color Graphic series from the middle of March at a price of around 3,260.00 Euro. Meanwhile, no precise launch date is known outside of Japan, but this information should soon follow.
