Texan computer specialist Dell is offering a new 24-inch monitor on its American website with the model name G2410H. Thanks to LED backlight and other power saving mechanism, the model should consume less than 20 watts when in use. In standby mode, the power consumption is 0.15 Watts if the LCD is connected via VGA.


The G2410H can display 1,920 x 1,080 pixels in 16:9 format. Dell indicates a brightness of 250 cd/m² for the monitor and its response time is five milliseconds. The TN panel offers viewing angles of 170 degrees horizontal and 160 degrees vertical. The static contrast ratio is 1,000:1 and the dynamic contrast ratio is indicated as up to 1,000,000:1.



In terms of ergonomics, the Dell G2410H offers all adjustment options: not only can it be tilted and panned, but it can also be turned and adjusted by up to 100 millimetres in height. The connectivity is not exactly contemporary; the model only has VGA and DVI (with HDCP support). In return, the cables needed for both connection options are included in the scope of supply.

A Dell "Sound bar" is also optionally available. The four-Kilo lightweight model costs 339 US Dollars in Dell’s online store, but there is no information yet on prices or availability for Germany. The model’s predecessor, the G2410, will be launched in Germany at a price of almost 300 Euro, an end customer price which may also apply for the G2410H based on a one-to-one conversion
