With its screen diagonal of 13.3 inches, the Aktivmatrix LCD doubles the desktop of any netbook or sub-laptop. The slim, slender structure achieved thanks to the LED backlight should ensure that the device can be stored without difficulty. The measurements of the model are 1,6 to 2,4 centimetres in height, 32.3 in width and 21.5 in depth. In addition, the low weight of around one kilogram should make transportation of "The Panel" easier.

The actual panel offers a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels, 300cd/m2 brightness and a contrast ratio of 400:1. Thanks to the permanently integrated lithium-ion batteries, up to five hours of use should be possible.
"Earlier, we did not have the technology to manufacture a light yet durable display that is portable and yet elegant ", says Eric Lao, manager of the company. Our panel makes it possible for anyone to connect a second or third monitor to their laptop. It is much easier to pack this and have it at hand when you are on the go.
The LCD monitor can communicate with computers and Mac models and has outstanding connectivity: as well as a mini-USB connection (2.0), the model has a mini-HDMI and a VGA connection. One Component and one S-Video input are flanked by two DVI ports. According to the manufacturer, the extra screen is suitable as a display for cameras, portable DVD and video players, iPhones and iPods, Xbox and PS3.
The target groups for the panel can be found in both the end customer and business customer sectors. Currently, the panel is being presented at the DEMO conference in Palm Springs. MEDL-TECH has not yet released details of prices or availability.
