With the new Acer D241H, Acer is particularly addressing users who want a versatile devices which makes it easier for them to organise their daily loves. Furthermore, the new model offers a wide range of functions that make it an extremely useful multi-talent for time management and entertainment - whether you wish to display news and memos, surf the DN without a PC, display pictures as a digital photo frame or play back music and videos as a media player.

When connected to a PC, the model can also be used as a conventional LCD. The screen can be used flexibly and offers a Full HD resolution as well as a contrast of 80,000:1 through Acer Adaptive Contrast Management, plus a response time of 2 ms.


The Acer D241H has direct WLAN D access to the Internet without the need for connection to a PC. In addition to its functionality as an LCD, it can be used as a bulletin board, on which news or memos can be posted or information can be relayed to other family members.

The display is equipped with numerous Widget-based functions such as a stream-enabled media player, calendar, memo, weather forecast, clock and photo frame, which are easily accessible and intuitive to use for all the family. Films, photos, news and memos can be added at any time via e-mail or SMS. Alternatively, the LCD can also be controlled using the practical remote control with pull-out keyboard or integrated speech recorder.


The Acer D241H can be connected to the Internet via both cable and wireless and is therefore the first display on the market which allows for access to personal e-mail accounts without an active PC. With the news toolkit, e-mails can be monitored, events can be created or calendar entries can be synchronized between the display, another PC or a smartphone, which means that extensive information flow is guaranteed.

Via the RSS Feed function, the latest news can be called up from up to six websites as soon as the information is published on the respective homepage. The photo gallery makes it possible to view photos on Picasa or Flickr or stream from a server. With the Multi-in-1 card reader and the USB connection, images from external memory media can be reproduced directly on the LCD.

The new Acer D241H is available from the end of April at a recommended retail end customer price of 399 Euro (including VAT).
