With the SpectraView Reference 241, NEC introduces the first model of its new generation of monitors for the use in particularly colour sensitive digital image processing, professional media design or the application in the print workflow.
Capable of hardware calibration, the wide screen LCD works at 10 bit P-IPS level and thus covers 98 per cent of the AdobeRGB colour space. Moreover, the display provides a 3D LUT for precise colour space emulation, and due to a 14 bit LUT that is programmable for each single RGB signal, it guarantees magnificent colour control and gamma correction. Beyond that, NEC's Digital Uniformity Control (ColorComp) und Backlight Ageing Control ascertain stable performance levels throughout the entire lifetime of the display. NEC Display Solutions plans to extend the series by 23, 27 as well as 30-inch models in the course of the year.

Additionally to its outstanding colour precision, the brightness of 360 cd/m2 and a resolution of 1,920 to 1,200 pixels, the LC-display comes with attributes for an enhanced productivity, such as a picture-in-picture function. The future-oriented DisplayPort link, a pair of DVI-D and a programmable USB interface guarantee a maximum connectivity to multiple PC system levels like Windows, Mac or Linux. Furthermore, the monitor provides ergonomical features that allow to optimally install the monitor at the workplace, such as height adjustment of up to 150 millimetres or the option to view pictures in portrait or landscape mode.

The scope of supply contains the SpectraView Profiler 4.1 software on CD and an individual SpectraView certification report, which is proof of the unique performance characteristics of each single display. Besides the power cord, a DisplayPort and a DVI-D cable, there is a comprehensive manual for both monitor and software, the installation and driver CD as well as a compatible anti-glare cover. NEC Display Solutions Europe offers three years of warranty including backlight. In addition to that, the maker grants a six-month zero-pixel warranty.
