The CG303W convinces with sophisticated high-end features, such as an enhanced colour space and the 12 bit hardware calibration which counts for any kind of professional graphics applications. Due to its imposing screen size of 78 centimetres (30-inch class) and a high resolution of 2,560 to 1,600 pixels, the monitor particularly enthrals at pre-press and digital image editing.

Eizo's CG303W displays highly saturated colours that are not available on conventional LCDs. Its colour space completely complies with NTSC, and is adequate to AdobeRGB to 98 per cent. That is why it is able to genuinely reproduce printing ink, e.g. more than 99 per cent of the offset printing inks (ISO Coated V2). To provide an exact image representation, homogenous spread of luminance and a good purity in colour are important premises.
The larger the screen diagonal, the greater the challenge of getting a sufficient homogeneity across the entire surface of the screen. That is why a special circuit, the so-called Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE), adjusts inequalities of luminance and chrominance pixel for pixel. Thus, colours showed in images and graphics are displayed correctly, regardless of whether they are situated in the centre of the screen or marginally.

The Eizo software Color Navigator is meant for the controlling of the CG303W. Being part of the delivery contents, it allows to automatically adjust brightness, white point and gamma. This so-called calibration with Color Navigator directly affects the Look Up Table of the screen which is why the sample board of the graphics card remains unaffected. The advantage is of this method is that the scope of tonal values for graphics applications remains completely intact, no clipping or banding occurs. After all, the foolproof calibration only takes five minutes.
In the course of the monitor testing, which was performed before the awarding of the "Fogra-Cert Soft proofing System" seal of approval, the Fogra Graphic Technology Research Association came to the following conclusion: Concerning viewing angles and homogeneity, the EIZO CG303W complies to strict soft proof standards. Starting in the mid of June, EIZO will offer the CG303W at a recommended retail price of 3,368.00 Euros. Just as the Color Navigator software, a light protection cover is included with the delivery contents.
