Following Asus and LG, [url=http://www.iiyama.com/gb_en/[/url] also presents an IPS panel display with LED backlight for less than 200 Euros. In online stores, the new ProLite X2377HDS is offered at about 170 Euros, but delivery date is unknown.

In combination with full HD, a dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 and a brightness of 250 nits, the 23-inch monitor delivers clear and vibrant images –even from steep viewing angles of up to 178 degrees. With a static contrast of 1,000:1 and a five milliseconds response time, the screen according to the manufacturer is suited for demanding graphical tasks, such as digital image processing and web design.
To delineate from the competition, new features such as LED or just high-grade panels are becoming increasingly important. (Logo: iiyama)
Aligning all crystal molecules in a plane, IPS technology requires a strong light source, a fact that drives power consumption of most monitors equipped with conventional CCFL BLUs. Unlike iiyama: In operation, the new ProLite display consumes just 23 watts, which of course can be credited to the LED backlight.
A quartet of interfaces – DVI, VGA and HDMI as image inputs, a VESA 100 mount for wall installation – ensures that the X2377HDS can be integrated into virtually any application environment. The 23-inch model is also compatible to Apple devices.
