Acer has introduced three new hybrid screens. The Full-HD displays Acer M222HQML, Acer M242HML and Acer M272HML show content in 16:9 cinema format with a contrast ratio of 12.000.000:1. According to the manufacturer, they also support 24p.

At the push of a button on the remote control, the displays quickly transform into TV sets. The integrated twin tuner for DVB-T/-C not only allows for the reception of programs, but also for their recording. The necessary external hard drive is connected to the USB port, which is able of PC free playback of multimedia files, too. In the same way, the combination of both can be used for time-shift.

While the dual HDMI input is reserved for home theatre equipment, the TV monitors need not shy away from any analogue source: VGA, S-Video and Component are also part of the basic configuration, likewise are the integrated speakers and the VESA wall-mount.
Potential buyers can choose from various screen sizes: Those who prefer somewhat larger screens will grab the 27-inch model Acer M272HML (349 Euros). In contrast, the 21.5-inch model Acer M222HQML (199 Euros) suits best where space is limited. And thanks to the Acer M242HML with 24-inch diagonal (249 Euros), a compromise is found quickly.
