Six new Samsung SyncMaster models with 19, 22 and 24 inches appear as business monitors in classic design. Functionality comes in the form of height adjustment to 100 mm, tilt and pivot function (from 22 inches).


Providing stereo speakers, the power consumption of matte black multimedia versions S19A450MR, S22A450MW and S24A450MW LED is slightly higher, as is the price of 209 / 229 / 309 Euros. The somewhat more economic business models S19A450BR, S22A450BW and S24A450BW, the light grey display frame of which does not feature speakers, are priced at 199 / 219 / 289 Euros.

All variants shine with the virtues of TN panel technology, such as a rapid response time of five milliseconds. Brightness and contrast are at standard level (250 cd/m², 1,000:1); the LED backlight enables a dynamic contrast ratio in the mega range. The S19A450 models are offered in 4:3 aspect ratio with 1,280 x 1,024 pixels, whereas the 22-inch displays provide WSXGA+ with 1,680 to 1,050 pixels. The 24-inch versions feature WUXGA resolution.

In view of the LED backlight, the energy consumption of the displays does not give rise to rampant praise, however, Samsung probably states the maximum value without considering the ECO-saving function integrated in the OSD. In addition, the newly implemented on-off switch helps to save energy, too. Also, the proven on-screen menu functions Magic Angle, Magic Bright, Magic Color to improve the individual quality of reproduction.

The new Samsung SyncMaster monitors for the office are already commercially available.
