Real-time strategists, take note: With the BenQ RL2240L, the world's first RTS monitor (Real Time Strategy) is available. Announced in September, the 21.5-inch full HD display is fast, has many professional features and is in stores at a price of 159 Euros in the end of November.
Well-known, the display is the result of intensive cooperation between BenQ, ZOWIE GEAR and STARTALE, the world champion professional team of StarCraft II. The combined know-how finds its expression in a display that provides maximum control, accuracy and enthusiasm for top-level players. A highlight of the joint product development is the preset RTS gaming mode, which optimizes picture performance in strategy games.
The RL2240H display works with Senseye 3 technology and features a reaction time of 2 ms (grey to grey). Its LED backlight allows for a high dynamic contrast ratio (12 million to 1) and low power consumption of about 17 watts.
With a sleek, white high gloss casing, the BenQ display visually cuts a fine figure. (Picture: BenQ)
The proven display mode allows you to select the display sizes 17 (4:3) and 19 inch (4:3), 19-inch wide (16:10) and 21.5-inch wide (16:9), and the Smart Scaling function allows the screen content of the RL2240H to be scaled. The input trio of HDMI, D-Sub and DVI-D is supplemented by a headphone output.
