The EizoDuraVision FDH3601 costs as much as a car and consumes more power than an office PC - but provides fourfold full HD resolution (8.847 instead of 2.074 MP). Due to the realistic edge and colour reproduction, such detail precision on a 36.4-inch screen is ideal for research and design applications. The 16-bit LUT of 4Kx2K display is able to display 10 bit colour.

With its non-glare surface coating, the DuraVision FDH3601 can also be used in geographic information systems, at process monitoring and medical imaging. The brightness range of the LED backlight is extremely flexible and permits ergonomic picture reproduction from 30 to 700 cd/m2 even under difficult lighting conditions.

Important tasks are fulfilled by three circuits: Pixel-accurate, the 'Digital Uniformity Equalizer' corrects uneven luminance and chrominance for each hue. The overdrive speeds up reaction time from 25 to eight milliseconds, while the EcoView sensor reduces power consumption (maximum 350 watts).
In addition to the USB hub there are twin DisplayPort and DVI-D inputs; source switching is done manually or automatically. Internally, the FDH3601 processes two image halves separately and combines them to one image – just as in multi-screen operation, only without the disturbing frame in the middle. Also, two screens cannot be adjusted so comfortably and safely as with the stable FlexStand II, which permits turning, tilting and height- adjustment with a range of 100 mm.
In Japan, the Eizo DuraVision FDH3601 is available for about 26,000 Euros, the two-year guarantee involves 24/7 duty.
