According to Acer America, the new HR274H display is an ideal monitor for full HD gaming via PC and console, Blu-ray playback and Office use. Being not a current standard in this segment, 2D to 3D conversion is a special feature of the 3D display.


While a chip-based solution performs the conversion in real time, no additional software is required as the function can be simply activated in the OSD. Flicker-free 3D experience is ensured by FPR technology plus battery-free, polarized glasses with comfortable fit.

The 27-inch display with LED backlight boasts a fast response time of two milliseconds (grey to grey) and a dynamic contrast ratio of 100 million to one. The remaining performance data of the TN panel correspond to the standard.

The monitor provides a pair of integrated speakers with two watts of power, two HDMI ports in version 1.4a plus a VGA connection are available as inputs. According to the manufacturer, the typical power consumption is at 27.5 watts. U.S. customers can purchase the Acer 3D HR274H for a suggested retail price of 599 USD. If the model will also be offered in Europe is not known.
