Grundig wants to support members of the Grundig Specialist Trade Initiative (Grundig Fachhandels Initiative or GFI) through various actions to encourage sales and at the same time make the specialist trade program interesting to additional traders. The newly adopted activities include the "Old for New" special offer. Customers who buy a new LCD TV from the Toronto or Berlin ranges at a GFI member location will receive up to 100 Euro for their old cathode ray television.

"The federal German government’s car scrappage scheme has focused customers’ attention more strongly on this instrument ", Horst Nikolaus, Director of Sales at Grundig explains the background behind the special offer.

The GFI special offer starts in May and will run until the end of July 2009. Since the number of city line models available for the special offer is limited, however, the special offer may run for a shorter period. "We consciously limited the special offer to the city line models, since we can make high-quality, reliable technology and the best product quality available here through specilaised retailers, exclusively and at a convincing price-performance ratio ", says Horst Nikolaus.
