With the five DVD-TV combi-models in the DV615 series, Toshiba is presenting the successors to its popular DV series. The design in glossy black or fashionable glossy white and the compact dimensions allow the new models to become trendy and flexibly usable entertainers. In screen sizes of 19 and 22 and also 26 inches for the first time, the HD-ready TVs do not only score points based on their high PC resolution (WXGA).


Using four special image modes (Sport, Film, Standard and Individual), the brightness and contrast can also be adjusted perfectly to the various screen content in the blink of an eye. The range of features of the TV-combi units, whose DVD players can play back all conventional formats, is completed with up to two HDMI connectors, an analogue and a DVB-T tuner with an EPG. With the models in the first DV series, Toshiba was able to claim a market share of up to 50 percent; the models in the new DV615 series, which have been extended to include larger sizes, are available now.

The flexibly applicable combi-TVs are all HD-ready and are distinguished by a contrast ratio of 800:1 (19DV) and 1,000:1 (22DV, 26DV) respectively as well as their large viewing angles of up to 170°. Thus, they are also suitable for use a second televisions for bedrooms or kitchens. The integrated DVB-T tuner ensures independence from antenna ports, allowing TV stations to be received without cables across the board in Germany.


The high-quality appeal of the new combi-TVs is emphasised through their large number of connectors: Depending on the model, there are also up to two HDMI ports as well as interfaces for scart, Component signal, S-Video and 3 Cinch A/V. The list is rounded off with an Audio input and a slot for Common Interface cards. The outputgs include Digital Audio for DVB -T and DVD as well as a headphone connection.

The DV615 series is available in three sizes – 19, 22 and 26 inches. The 19inch models can be purchased in glossy black (model 19DV615) and glory white (model 19DV616); this is also the case in the 22-inch variants, which are available in both colours for the first time. The 26-inch model is offered in glossy black. The recommended retail price for the 19-inch models is 549 Euro each and the price for the 22-inch model is 599 Euro. The 26-inch top model can be bought for 649 Euro.
