Call up recent news reports on the Internet, watch the latest Blu-ray film or present the nicest holiday photos to your family and friends – the new G15 series from Panasonic makes all these applications possible. Functions such as VIERA CAST, DLNA and the VIERA Image Viewer ensure completely new television experiences. The plasma televisions in the G15 series are also equipped with the latest NeoPDP plasma technology. This twelfth generation of the Panasonic plasma panel has even more powerful processors and innovative signal processing. In the LCD TVs of the G15 series, Panasonic uses the new Full HD IPS Alpha-Fine black panel.

The lead-free NeoPDP G12 Full HD Toughpanel with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels is distinguished in particular through outstanding image quality, innovative features and attractive design in slim, light and compact form. The outstanding 600Hz Intelligent Frame Creation Pro provides the G15 series with ideal display of moving pictures and sharp images, making sports broadcasts and Hollywood films into a fascinating experience.

The 37-inch LCD model is equipped with the new Full HD IPS Alpha-Fine black panel. This has allowed Panasonic to improve the black values considerably. In addition, the new horizontal and vertical viewing angles of 178 degrees set standards in LCD technology. The IPS Alpha-Fine black panel refines the contrast and black display by minimising the dispersed light. Thus, the TX-L37G15E is also equipped to be a real eye-catcher. The 100Hz Intelligent Frame Creation Pro works with the aid of vector-based motion recognition. In this way, inter-frames are interpolated and inserted in all directions. Thus, Panasonic was able to reduce the tailing effects that are typical for LCD devices by a considerable amount and provide outstanding display of motion with high resolution of motion.

The V-Real Pro 4 signal processing technology, which creates a saturated black, is used both in the plasma and in the LCD TVs of the G15 series. The effect is: high brilliance and extraordinary attention to detail. With 6,144 grey levels and 232 billion reproducible colours in the plasma models, V-Real Pro 4 guarantees vivid images and fluid TV sequences – even in the most demanding films.

Those who own a television from the G15 series can use VIERA CAST with ease by merely connecting their television with the Internet via LAN cable (at least 2 Mbit/s). Using a button on the remote control, the user can access selected Internet content from Panasonic’s partners ARD-Tagesschau, Bloomberg TV, Youtube, Eurosport and Google Picasa at any time. Furthermore, the DLNA application allows images and videos from sources on the same LAN network to be viewed on the G15 series models.

The integrated multi-tuner with DVB-S, DVB-T and analogue cable tuner ensure the best reception. The DVB-S tuner is equipped for HDTV reception and many additional DVB-S functions make installation and use of the device easier. Thus, Multi-Video and Multi-Audio are supported and a Now & Next EPG makes the search for the desired programme easier. Many additional functions such as the Gemstar EPG for DVB-T and the profiles make daily use easier. With the cable tuner, the “All-round carefree package” is complete.

The Panasonic TX-P46G15E and TX-P42G15E plasma televisions will be available from June 2009, as will the TX-L37G15E LCD-TV.
