From this month, JVC is selling a television which manages without an integrated tuner. Thus, the model is purely a screen on which image content is displayed. The new television is called the LT-42WX70 and can also be equipped with a tuner as an option (TU-CX100). This then allows DVB-T and analogue cable television to be received.


The screen has three HDMI inputs, a D-Sub input and a Component-Video input. The 42-inch has a dynamic contrast of 50,000:1 and is advertising extensive colour space coverage. In order to use the colour space to the ideal extent, an on-screen menu with 52 settings is offered. These allow the colour, hue, gamma values and additional parameters to be adjusted.

The recommended retail price for the LT-42WX70 LCD monitor is 1.999.00 EUR. The TV tuner TU-CX100 should cost 499.00 EUR.
