NEC Display Solutions is offering an upgrade for its NC2500S digital cinema projector, which should increase the brightness of the model by up to 33 percent. This allows 3D films to be shown on even larger projection screens and in larger rooms than until now. The full 2K resolution of the 1.2 DMD form Texas Insruments is used for 3D content. Triple Flash technology ensures more fluid motions.

NEC is the only manufacturer to offer this technology boost for new models and also for already existing installations. "We place great value on offering our customers investment security ", emphasises Gerd Kaiser, Product Line Manager for Large Venue Projectors at NEC Display Solutions. "With the upgrade, the NC2500S is at the latest technological status."

In 2009, more 3D productions will come to the market than ever before. These films have considerably higher demands with regard to the brightness of the projector used. "Our top-class projectors mean that more cinema-goers will have the enjoyment of experiencing films such as Ice Age 3 or Avatar in the best 3D quality ", continues Kaiser.
