JVC has claimed that its latest model, the 32-inch GD-32X1, is the lightest television in this size class. After technical options have largely been exhausted, manufacturers are concentrating on producing ever lighter, slimmer and more energy-efficient television sets. Weighing just five kilograms and with a depth of just seven millimetres, the 32-inch monitor should set new records.


The 16:9 Full-HD television has a brightness of 400 Candela and a contrast of 4000:1. In terms of inputs, the GD-32x1 offers two HDMI connectors, a Composite connection and a 3.5 millimetre jack. In addition, the television can function as a digital photo frame and a music player for images in Jpeg format und Mp3s.

JVC has not yet announced a price for the GD-32-x, but market launch is planned for this year.
