With the PLC-WXL46 LCD projector and the PDG-DWL100 and PDG-DXL100 DLP models, SANYO is presenting three new projectors for use in companies and educational facilities which are especially suitable for use in small rooms and at short distances from the projection surface thanks to extreme wide-angle lenses. In order to achieve an image diagonal of 80 inches, the PLC-WXL46 requires a distance of just 86 centimetres from the presentation surface, whilst the PDG-DWL100 requires 87 centimetres and the PDG-DXL100 about 99 centimetres.

All three models should shine with brilliant projection quality and achieve high levels of brightness of more than 2,000 ANSI Lumen. Thus, the projectors are also suitable for use in spaces which cannot be darkened completely. Whilst the PDG-DXL100 is equipped with an XGA resolution (1,024 x 768 pixels) in 4 : 3 format, the PDG-DWL100 and PLC-WXL46 have WXGA resolutions (1,280 x 800 pixels) in 16 : 10 format. Thus, they are keeping up with the current trend towards widescreen projectors. The new ultra-wide angle projectors from SANYO are therefore perfect for use in connection with interactive whiteboards.

The two DLP models come in an identical chassis and function using a 5-segment colour wheel, which guarantees consistently high and well-balanced image quality. Her, the XGA projector achieves an ANSI Lumen rating of 2,700 and a contrast ratio of 750 : 1. With an ANSI Lumen rating of 2,600, the PDG-DWL100 is similarly powerful, but achieves a contrast ratio of 1,750:1.

The two DLP models are especially flexible in use and, thanks to their integrated eight watt speakers, also support multimedia presentations. The automatic set-up ensures perfect presentation in the blink of an eye, making time-consuming training for employees unnecessary. With the aid of the vertical keystone correction, trapeze-shaped distortions can be avoided if the models cannot be placed exactly parallel to the presentation surface. Numerous connection options including a digital HDMI input ensure flexibility for the projection of various sources, whilst the network connection (RJ45) allows numerous functions to be controlled via the LAN.
SANYO uses the tried-and-tested LCD technology in the ultra wide-angle PLC-WXL46 projector and offers a WXGA projector with an ANSI lumen rating of 2,000 and a contrast ratio of 500:1. The model is equipped with a blackboard mode and can therefore be adjusted perfectly to differently coloured projection surfaces. Thanks to Direct Power On/Off function, the model can be switched on and off without a waiting time so that it is especially suitable for mobile use in rooms which are often changed. Both for use in educational facilities and in companies, the MyLogo function should offer a professional, unique appearance, since it allows company symbols to be integrated as desired. The PLC-WXL46 also offers the option to control numerous functions and parameters via the network.
The recommended retail price is 1,250.00 Euro for the PLC-WXL46, 1,150.00 Euro for the PDG-DWL100 and 1,070.00 Euro for the PDG-DXL100. All prices are plus VAT. SANYO guarantees the models for three years including a 24-hour exchange service. There is a guarantee of one year or a maximum of 2,000 hours of use for the lamps. All models are available from July 2009.
