With the SQ4242, BenQ is presenting a new top model for the living room. The 42-inch LCD display with Full-HD resolution is said to have a native contrast ratio of 5,000:1 and a brightness value of 500 cd/m². The response time here is a good 5.5 milliseconds and should prove pleasing to console owners in particular. The support of film material in 24p format is also not lacking here and is guaranteed through the “Real Movie mode”.


The manufacturer is also generous in terms of connectors and has equipped the model with three HDMI ports and a component input. In addition, there are connectors for Composite, S-Video, VGA and DVI. Two ten-watt "SRS TruSurround XT Sound" speakers provide sound.



Although BenQ has already officially presented the new SQ4242 in Taiwan, no exact sales launch date has been announced for the European market. The target sales price is also unknown.
