REVIEW: Philips 42PFL8404H/12 Part 7

Thus, including dynamic contrast (except a better value than black 0,06 cd/m2) HCFR showed a large deviation from the D65 centre with very large deltaE values. In any case do not use this option regardless of what gives better blacks.

RGB values can be viewed in the following graphs:

It is important to note that deltaE on 70IRE is at 4 which is a solid result!

Gamma

Given that the Philips 42PFL8404H does not have the possibility to regulate gamma values, we only had a small possibility to influence this value, which is quite uniform in the "standard" mode. After calibration, we only raised the lowest point on 50% brightness, but in general there were no significant changes.

Brightness

Graph before calibration.

Even in "normal" mode, brightness was extremely good, and the results of our measurements showed almost perfect tracking of the reference line, we see a mild discrepancy in brightness from 30 to 60%. Let’s see if we can make it any better.
