This function corrects the color value range of a picture. Usually this is accomplished by adjusting the curves of color values using the Scan software or the picture editing software. By means of gamma correction, it is possible to vary the contrast gradient in order to bring out certain parts (bright colors, dark colors…) more than others. This does not affect the black point and the white point (= maximum contrast).
