The PFL9732 series includes 42-inch and 37-inch models as well as the 47-inch 47PFL9732D. The entire series features 100-Hz technology as well as an improved technical response on the part of the liquid crystals, which provides a very good response time of just three milliseconds.
The PFL9732 series also boasts HD Natural Motion, which prevents juddering when HD content is being displayed. The new Color Booster processes 14-Bit colours in order to create a palette of four billion colours. The result is a better colour saturation which means that colours appear more radiant and more natural.
Thanks to Ambilight Surround, the 47PFL9732D offers an impressive viewing experience. According to Philips, Ambilight ensures better perceived image quality. Subjectively, the picture gains in contrast and its colours become stronger, thus providing a relaxed viewing experience. The latest generation of Philips Ambilight is based on LEDs that not only create fuller colours but also allow for a more compact design and require less power than previous models. Here, too, the LEDs correspond only to the Ambilight and are not connected with the backlight of the LCD panel in any way - the backlight here is also a WCG CCFL.
The PFL9732D series is available in three different formats:

- 42 inch Full HD LCD TV 42PFL9732D
- 47 inch Full HD LCD TV 47PFL9732D

In addition to the PFL9732D series, there is another similar column of figures describing a further Philips series. This is the PFL9632D series. The main difference is in the Ambilight - this series features Ambilight 2 Channel instead of Ambilight Surround. The following models are part of this product family:
