Dell 1801fp

    I'm searching for a low-priced tft with an ips-panel and found the Dell 1801fp for 435euro.
    Does this screen have the same image quality and low ghostinglevel as the Iiyama e481s?

    It has the old panel of the 1860 which was quit good for gamers and allround users. The panel has a small glithering effect which you can see on white or black backgrounds.


    435E is quit expensive. Can´t you go to Aachen/ germany and buy your tft there? You can get a 19" TFT with IPS panel for around 400E in ger.

    I have already read about glithering effects with ips-panelks but I don't know what it is, can you explain it to me?
    The Iiyama is around 420/430 euro here but it doesn't have the height-adjustement and the pivot-function wich I like. I read that the foot of the Iiyama AS4821DT also fits on the e481s, do you know if this is true and is it sold seperately?

    It´s not sold seperatly, sorry. It should fit, cause of the Norm which they are build after.


    Take a white piece of paper. Take some glither make up from your girflriend and make some points on it, that is the glithering effect. Mostly, users get used to it. Keep in mind: You see it only on large white or black areas.

    Is the LG L1930B as good as the Iiyama? I like the design a lot more and it is also under 500Euro here. People on this forum always recommend for an IPS-panel the Nec, Fujitsu Siemens and the Iiyama. why not this LG, it has the same panel?

    It has the same panel, yep. But LG has not the good quality of FS, NEC or Iiyama.


    You need a bit of luck for a good LG device. They are getting better, but they will still need some time to get where FS, NEC or Iiyama is.

    Thanks for the quick response. With quality, do you mean image quality or reliability? I also found that there are 2 types of it, the l1930b and l1930bsnh or are they the same? The last one has height adjustement, something I really like but I can't find it on the site of LG. Maybe that's what you mean with the bit of luck with LG, they are not very clear about the specs about their products.

    The quality of the picture and workaround is sometimes a bit bad.


    The 1930b has an IPS panel. Maybe I´m too tired today, but I cannot find the L1930BSNH in our database. I will ask the admin, maybe he has detailed informations.
