Hi:
I'm hoping for some input. I have a 24" iMac, and I love the display. Colours are bright, vivid, and most of all, quite accurate. I wanted to expand my desktop, so have been looking for a monitor to compliment the iMac's. My main business is design and layout for print purposes, but I am dipping into video, so multiple inputs would be a definate feature. So far, I have had an LG M228 (not a good purchase), a Samsung T240, and most recently, a Dell w2408wfp. Is it just me, or is there anything that can come close. The Dell is a great monitor, but even through software AND hardware calibration, I'm not getting any closer to matching the iMacs display. Unfortunately, I don't have the budget for an Eizo. One of the absolutely stupid moves on Apples part was to switch to the mini-display port, with no other input option. So if you own older Mac's (as I do x 3), I cannot use this monitor. There is also no adapter or switch available, so I'm out of luck there. I was under the impression they use Samsung panels anyway.
I would appreciate any input, recommendations or suggestions from anyone, amateur or professional,to further assist me in my dilemma. I really didn't think it would be this hard. I appreciate you taking the time to read this thread.
