Scenario 1:
I currently have Macintosh G4 running 10.4.11 which is connected to my last two ctr monitors. The specs for the G4 says it can support an external digital monitor of up to 1920 x 1200:
I also have a Intel MacBook Pro that supports a external monitor with up to a 2560 x 1600 resolution:
I was hoping to obtain a higher end 2560 x 1600 monitor that would allow me to connect both the G4 and the MacBook Pro at the same time. None of graphics software I have on the G4 will run on the MacBook Pro because it is Intel and buying new Intel based Adobe software costs a lot. I was hoping to use this setup until I can eventually buy new software and move all graphics work onto the MacBook Pro.
Scenario 2:
If it is not possible to hook up both of these computers to the same 2560 x 1600 what would be the best lcd I could initially hook up to the G4 then switch over to the MacBook Pro after I am able to buy new software?
Scenario 3:
Assuming 1 and 2 are not good I just may have to buy new software for the MacBook Pro and a monitor just for the MacBook Pro. What 2560 x 1600 would be best?
I read your review of the NEC 3090 only to find that it is not recommended for sRGB work, which I find strange - lol, why is NEC selling a monitor for over $2,000 and it can't do srgb well? I produce content for Zazzle.com who like their stuff uploaded in srgb. I wanted try to get a wide gambit monitor that does srgb well, but would still offer the higher gambit should I need that in the future.
