Please help English only member, low to no input lag monitor for gaming

  • I am basically trying to navigate my way through this website with a translator because the English website is missing a lot of the reviews. And this is the only site that has such a vast review of monitors and also test for input lag.

I play Xbox 360 mostly on my monitors. I have a Samsung 2253BW and an Acer H233H. I need something closer to CRT input lag. The 2253BW is smooth but has too much input lag. While the H233H has lower input lag but doesn't feel smooth.

I am looking for a list on NO input lag, or maybe VERY low input lag monitors. I do not care what size. Would actually prefer a lower resolution but it does not matter.

Looking for a price around $250 or less.

I found a few monitors that fit the criteria but they are no longer sold except for the Samsung 2493HM which is a little too expensive and too high resolution for console gaming. 1080p is the highest.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

  • Aren't plasma TVs still the "best" way to go with consoles? However, look for LCDs with 120 Hz (smoothest feeling available, so to speak) and HDMI 1.4. Most of them (there aren't so much on the market anyway) have also a so called "thru mode" that (at least) should ensure you having low to zero input lag.

  • I have my Xbox set up in my office with the PC. So I use a computer monitor. I tried going through all the monitor reviews on this site but it is hard to tell which monitors have really low lag since I do not speak the language and there are not many English sites that measure lag in monitors.
